Broadcaster and Te Reo Māori advocate Stacey Morrison and her husband Scot had a miscarriage after they had their first two children and it took them by surprise. Their feelings of guilt were strong and the level of grief surprised Stacey in particular. At the same time the grief told her they were meant to have 3 children.
Because their children’s names are all connected, the baby that is with them in spirit, is honoured in their third child’s name. Stacey and her husband believe that the baby’s spirit is a guardian and will always be with their family.
